The Innovation Center @3401 (ic@3401) is a collaboration between the University City Science Center and Drexel University. ic@3401 offers start-up and growing companies, funding organizations, and individuals in the digital-creative technologies and related fields flexible work facilities, a fellowship with other entrepreneurs, access to programs and concierge business services. Residents of ic@3401 are co-housed with their peers and with multiple Drexel University programs (including the ExCITe Center). Residents have access to local programs targeted to residents of ic@3401 as well as elsewhere on the Drexel and the Science Center campuses, including Quorum, the entrepreneurs’ clubhouse and other University City resources. Shared facilities, amenities, community and programming create a powerful network within ic@3401, throughout University City and beyond.
The University City Science Center is the Philadelphia's premier catalyst of entrepreneurial activity, healthcare innovation, and economic growth. The STEM Founders Fellowship is an extension of our vision to catalyze Philadelphia area entrepreneurs and accelerate technology innovation. This 12-month experiential program is designed to give academic researchers (pursuing graduate or doctoral pathways) hands-on startup experience and support to transform concepts into a business reality.
AN IMMERSIVE STARTUP EXPERIENCE
The Fellowship includes in-person lectures, online workshops, and facilitated meetings with startups and key stakeholders.
ELIGIBILITY
- An advanced degree in a STEM field
- Abel to commit 20 hours per week to the Fellowship
- Within a reasonably commutable distance to the Science Center
- An entrepreneurial concept related to life sciences and/or healthcare
- Startup proposal must demonstrate a clear market need with clear explanation on how the startup will be feasible, impactful, and scalable

HOW WE USE DEMOGRAPHIC DATA
We collect demographic information to evaluate our outreach efforts and help us improve. Our goal is to eliminate bias and ensure we are making our program accessible to everyone. In order to help us achieve this, your reported demographic information is stored separately and is not shared with review panels.
